Im Sommer trage ich Birkenstocks, Nikes oder Converse und im Winter Docs. Sobald es also zu einem halbwegs formalen Anlass kommt, bin ich aufgeschmissen. Ballerinas besitze ich keine, hohe Schuhe ziehe ich nicht gerne an und Ankle-Boots passen halt auch nicht immer. Deshalb war es meine Mission nach halbwegs schicken Schuhen zu suchen - ein Paar, was zu fast allen Anlässen geht, also Bewerbungsgespräche, formale Veranstaltungen oder aber auch um ein schlichtes, langweiliges Outfit aufzupeppen.
I'm a sneakers kinda girl. In summer I wear Birkenstocks, Nikes and Converse; in winter I wear Dr. Martens. But as soon as any slightly formal event pops up - I have nothing to wear. I don't own any ballet flats, I don't like wearing heals and ankle booties don't always work. This is why I made it my goal to find a pair of smart shoes - something to fit any occasion - let's say a job interview - but also to spice up a simple and boring outfit.
Ich habe mir keine großen Hoffnungen gemacht, weil mir gefällt doch relativ selten etwas, was ich als kaufwürdig empfinde. Um so überraschter war ich, als ich gleich zwei Paar fand. Als erstes habe ich dieses geniale silber-goldene Paar gefunden. Im Schuhladen hatte ich ein ähnliches Paar schon im Schaufenster gesehen, aber das hatte die metallische Spitze in rotgold - und das war nicht so mein Ding. Im Laden selbst gab es dann diese Schätze! An einem silbrigen Paar hatte ich schon länger überlegt und auch schon Kandidaten im Internet gefunden, aber ich habe es irgendwie nie gemacht. Auch bei diesem Paar war ich erst unsicher... Mit ganz schwarz sicher ziemlich schick und auch die verschiedenen Silbertöne gefielen mir - mit Jeans eher lässig. Bei dem Gold und der Eignung für diverse Anlässe war ich mir unsicher. Ich wollte eigentlich was universelles und bei einer Beerdigung, zum Beispiel, kann ich damit sicher nicht auftauchen. Aber dann waren sie reduziert und es gab sogar noch mal 20% Rabatt drauf - Entscheidung getroffen....
Und das Problem des universellen Schuhs hatte sich dann auch schnell erledigt. Der nächste Besuch bei Zara endete mit einem weiteren Schuhkauf. Schlicht, schwarz, Lack, schick - was will man mehr?
Beide Paare kann man total schick, aber auch total lässig anziehen. Ich freue mich drauf Outfits mit ihnen zu kombinieren, die sehen dann direkt ganz anders aus als mit Chucks und Co.
I wasn't expecting much - I know what I like and especially what I don't like. Even more surprising that I found two pairs. Firstly, I found this cool metallic number. I saw a similar pair in the window of the store, but the metallic tip was in rose gold - I wasn't the biggest fan. But in the store I found these babies. I had been contemplating getting an all silver pair but I never purchased one. I wasn't quite sure at first. I knew I loved them; they would look great with an all black outfit and cool with a pair of jeans. But the gold part threw me off at first and they weren't that appropriate for quite a few formal events. These to a funeral - no way! But they were on sale and they had my size (which is pretty rare - I have big feet!) - aaaaaaand an additional 20% off. Done!
Zara than solved the problem of the appropriateness. These black beauties will do for any occasion. They will go with a pant suit (not that I own one), dresses, jeans - everything. Black, shiny, formal, smart, dressy - what more could you possibly want?
Both pairs can be dressed up or down - well actually, these pairs can dress up or down an outfit... I am excited to put together outfits, they will look so much different than with Chucks and co.
